Cookie Notice
Last updated: 2026-09-05
This Cookie Notice explains how Smart Solution Labz LLC uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) on the Clocker websites and web application. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. "Local storage" and similar technologies let a website or app store data in your browser too. We use them to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the Service secure, and understand how it is used.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on). Required for the Service to work - for example, to authenticate you and keep you signed in (via Firebase Authentication), maintain your session, remember your language, interface settings and your cookie choice, and protect against abuse. These cannot be switched off without breaking core functionality, and they do not require consent.
Analytics / performance. Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it (for example, Google/Firebase Analytics). We use these only with your consent, on every platform and in every country, and you can decline without losing access to any feature.
We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
3. What we actually store today
| Name | Where | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
clk-consent |
localStorage (website and app at /app) | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again | Strictly necessary | 12 months, then we ask again |
_ga |
Cookie (website and app at /app), set by Google Analytics | Tells returning visitors apart with a random id, so we can count visits without knowing who you are | Analytics (only after "Accept all") | 13 months |
_ga_<container id> |
Cookie (website and app at /app), set by Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your current visit (session) | Analytics (only after "Accept all") | 13 months |
ckLang |
localStorage (website) | Remembers which language version of the site you read, so you land on it next time | Strictly necessary | Until deleted |
ckInd |
localStorage (website) | Remembers which trade you picked on the home page, so the examples stay relevant | Strictly necessary (a choice you made) | Until deleted |
_GRECAPTCHA |
Cookie set by Google (reCAPTCHA), app at /app, only after you sign in | Tells real users from automated abuse before our servers accept a request (Firebase App Check) | Strictly necessary (abuse protection) | Set and controlled by Google |
Firebase technical storage (firebase-heartbeat-database, firebase-installations-database) |
IndexedDB (website & app) | Technical bookkeeping the Firebase SDK needs to call our servers (for example, the team-invite lookup) | Strictly necessary | Persistent, technical only |
Sign-in session (firebaseLocalStorageDb) |
IndexedDB (app at /app) | Keeps you signed in to your account | Strictly necessary | Until you sign out |
| Preferences (language, settings) and a once-a-day activity marker | localStorage (app at /app) | Remembers your language and interface settings, and the day your account was last counted as active on this device, so that count is written once a day instead of on every screen | Strictly necessary | Until deleted |
Analytics cookies are set only after you choose "Accept all" in the consent banner (or answer yes to the analytics question in the app at /app, which records the same choice). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set at all. Choosing "Essential only", or withdrawing later through the footer link or the app's Settings, stops the analytics script and removes its cookies from this site. What the analytics measures, and what it never contains, is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Third parties
Some technologies are set by our providers, in particular Google (Firebase Authentication, reCAPTCHA for abuse protection in the app once you sign in, the "Sign in with Google" button, and, where enabled, Firebase/Google Analytics). The Firebase libraries the app runs on are loaded from Google's servers, which is a technical request with no cookie and no identifier; the fonts and the rendering engine are served from our own site. Their use of data is governed by their own policies as well as our Privacy Policy.
5. Managing your choices
- Consent banner. On your first visit to our website, a banner lets you choose "Accept all" or "Essential only" - two equal buttons, one click each. Nothing beyond strictly necessary storage is used unless you accept. Your choice (either way) is remembered for 12 months, after which we ask again.
- Changing or withdrawing your choice. A "Cookie settings" link sits in the footer of every page (and in the document list on every legal page); click it to reopen the banner and change your choice at any time. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting.
- Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service from working (for example, you may not be able to stay signed in).
- Analytics. Where we ask for analytics consent, you can accept or decline; you can change your choice later.
- The Clocker app. In the app, usage statistics are off until you say yes to the one-time question we ask when you first sign in, and you can change that answer at any time under Settings > Data & privacy; crash reports can be turned off in the same place. Your device settings offer further storage and identifier controls.
6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Notice as our use of these technologies changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision.
